My journey to be the elected representative you deserve.
"I was proud to be elected as the Member of Parliament for the Coatbridge, Chryston and Bellshill constituency in the General Election of December 2019. I was the SNP Environment, Farming, Agriculture and Rural Affairs Spokesperson and sit on the EFRA Committee.

I've brought a variety of experience to this role. I was employed in the security industry by British Home Stores, John Lewis & Partners and Debenhams, both in Glasgow and Dublin.

As a member of the SNP and a long term supporter of independence, I stood in the Viewpark and Tannochside by-election in 2015 and was elected as the local councillor, with a subsequent re-election in 2017. It was an honour to be representing the ward in which he grew up in and still reside.

My political interests include the protection of the greenbelt, fighting social injustice such as poverty and issues within the benefits system, and campaigning for the sovereignty of Scotland.

I'm a family man, spending my spare time with my mother and daughter, and I have a keen interest in football.

Working in London takes me away from my local area and I'm proud to admit I love my home area so I will still be up here regularly. Fancy a chat or a coffee about an issue that's important to you? Get in touch today and let's book something in."
